What’s the Big Deal About JESUS:

Scriptures on the eternal existence (pre-incarnation existence of Christ:

John 1:1-2; 15; John 8:58; John 17:5, 24; Colossians 1:17; Hebrews 7:3; Revelation 22:13; Hebrews 1:11-12;1 John 1:1-2; Revelations 1: 17-18 and 2:8;

Jesus existed as and with God the Creator before, the INCARNATION: (IN-THE-FLESH {CARNI}. Before Jesus walked the earth Jesus was—existed. This is indicative of the eternal nature of Christ. He received a body and became human and was without sin. But, Christ was with God in the beginning before creation of the earth, and time.

Jesus/Christ existed with God and the angelic host before God (Creator) spoke the WORD (Jesus the only begotten son of God, not created child/son, like angels or humans) and The SPIRIT animated the WORD and all was….

EVANGELISM: passionately leading others to the saving knowledge of Christ, Ephesians 4:11

• APOSTLESHIP: A messenger of God given specific orders from God for the Church. Usually to establish or re-establish a foundational truth. The 12 apostles walked with Jesus and established the early Church with their eyewitnesses of Jesus’ teaching. But, Paul was an apostle out of time who established foundational truths for the Church being taught of the Word by the Spirit and given specific orders to minister the gospel to the non-Jewish believers in the salvific work of Jesus God’s Christ

• PROPHECY: boldly and fearlessly proclaiming God’s truth, Romans 12:6; Ephesians 4:11; 1 Corinthians 12:10, 28

• TEACHING: making clear the truth of God’s Word with simplicity & accuracy, Romans 12:7; 1 Corinthians 12:28

• EXHORTATION: motivating others to action, application and purpose, Romans 12:8

• SHEPHERDING: overseeing, training, feeding, coaching/leading, Ephesians 4:11

• SERVING: providing practical help both physically and spiritually, Romans 12:7; 1 Corinthians 12:28

• MERCY-SHOWING: identifying with and comforting those in need, Romans 12:8

• GIVING: releasing material resources to further the work of the Church, Romans 12:8

• ADMINISTRATION: organizing, administering, promoting, leading, Romans 12:8; 1 Corinthians 12:28
